One day, in a grey apartment block, the TV announces a corona and a quarantine - the doors of all the flats in the building are closed and life seems to stop. But does it really? After all, behind all those doors are the residents with their usually extraordinary daily lives!

Tarakonas Lapiščiunksibantis, who is not constrained by the quarantine restrictions, embarks on a journey to meet the residents of his home and find his happy home. The aim of the journey seems simple at first sight. But first, the cockroach needs to find out what happiness is?

"As soon as I got my hands on the manuscript of Vaiva Rykštaitė's forthcoming book, "Worse than a Cockroach", it was immediately clear that in order to bring the work to the theatre stage, I needed to find an original form. Budrugana Lietuva hand shadow theatre was the perfect fit! The process of creating the performance was reminiscent of childhood games with a desk lamp and shadows on the wall, and the final result, thanks to the very hard-working and talented actors, is somewhere between performance and animation," says the director of the performance Sigita Pikturnaitė.

This playful and philosophical performance, based on the children's book "Scarier than a Cockroach" by the writer Vaiva Rykštaitė, is ideal for the whole family. The cockroach, the hero of the play, will lead the audience through different flats and introduce them to their inhabitants, raising questions on the themes of loneliness, isolation, ageism, addictions, and leaving space for the audience to search for the answers to the questions themselves.
