We will meet to talk about love. But not the passionate kind that causes wars and is said to last three years, but the other kind that heals wounds, protects and never ends. It is the love of a mother for her child, it is kindness and caring for the weaker, it is quietly and patiently doing good works in Vilnius. Where do women who cannot have a child pray? And where to kneel when a baby is born? What was the name of the Vilnius mother whose infinite love for her son was the subject of a bestselling autobiographical book? Who and how in Vilnius cared for the poor, the sick and the orphans. The Maternity Institute, the Milk Drop organisation, the Benefactors' Society - all these are the works of the old Vilnius residents, thanks to whom there was certainly more love in the city. Well, to make it more fun and practically useful, we will also recall Lithuanian folk advice for mothers in labour and the peculiarities of raising children by Jewish mothers.
