We invite you to the goSUP paddle boat tour on the Merkís River! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city - regain your strength before a new week surrounded by nature. 

MERKYS. Perfect for those who want to go on their first trip or sail with their children on the Dzūkija rivers. The wide father of the Dzūkija rivers calmly floats towards the Nemunas. You won't encounter many obstacles that would require sudden manoeuvres, you will simply enjoy the swim and the beauty of nature around you. Hikers will enjoy the clear, unpolluted water and the wooded shores, alternating with wild meadows.

TIME. Please arrive before 11.00 a.m., a minibus will come to bring you to the starting point, where we will be waiting for you, with all the equipment we have prepared. We will start with a briefing, during which you will hear all the necessary information: how to get on the paddle board, how to swim correctly, how to behave in case of a fall, which route to take and other important rules of behaviour on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, then you will swim. The route is about 13 km long, which is about 3 hours of swimming down the river. You should plan up to 4 hours for the whole tour (with preparation, instructions, packing after the trip).

LOCATION. We meet in the town of Perloja, at the church in the centre of the town. Link to the map https://goo.gl/maps/a2hsDcdtQQ52 We will leave our cars here and a bus will take you to the starting point, so you will be close to your cars as soon as you arrive. 

APPARATION. Wear loose fitting, sporty clothes that don't get in the way of the water (you can also roll up the pants).Please wear clothes depending on the weather, if it is forecast for cooler weather - bring warmer clothes. The swim will take place in nature, so don't forget to bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen and drinking water. We recommend having dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall (the chances are very low, but it's better to be prepared).

COST. The cost of the Merkiss River Tour is 40 Eur (price includes: instruction, all necessary equipment, transport from the finish to the starting point).
In case of very unfavourable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm or other dangerous natural phenomenon), which may endanger the participants of the event, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be rescheduled to a different date by mutual agreement. In this case, the participants of the tour will be informed in person by contacting the telephone number indicated during the purchase of the tickets.

DETAILS. The rowing tour is open to persons aged 14 and over accompanied by an adult. Exceptions are made for students of goSUP school. Please note that the accompanying instructor does not swim with the tour.

The tour is not allowed for persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The organisers reserve the right to refuse to provide the service to such persons and not to refund the money paid for the ticket.

If the tour takes place but the client does not show up for the tour and does not contact the administration for his/her non-arrival in advance (24 hours prior to the start of the tour) using the contact details on the ticket, no refund will be made. The ticket purchased is valid only for the tour date indicated on the ticket. Refunds will only be issued if the tour is cancelled. If you wish to exchange your tickets, an exchange fee of EUR 5 applies. You can exchange your tickets for another tour up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.
