The YUKARIUKAS Summer Holiday Day Camp is a great opportunity for your child to get to know the Japanese culture and language, and to learn and experience many new and exciting things. Every day we will not only learn Japanese language, sing Japanese songs and watch the best anime movies, but also delve deeper into certain areas of Japanese culture such as theatre, Japanese festivals and the changes in the Japanese way of life in all 4 seasons. We will make traditional handicrafts and prepare delicious Japanese food. And with a little bit of head-muscling, we'll play Japanese games and learn Japanese dances in the courtyard.

School activities:

• At the school, the children will get acquainted with the Japanese language, learn a few letters of the Japanese alphabet, write their names in Japanese, and learn how to say a short story in Japanese about themselves.
• We will focus on lectures and learning about Japanese traditional and pop culture.
• We will do various Japanese handicrafts such as origami, kirigami, calligraphy, etc.
• We will go for a walk.
• We will watch a lot of Japanese animation for children.
• We will read Japanese fairy tales.
• We will sing Japanese children's songs.
• We will exercise like real Japanese people.
• We will clean up like real Japanese people.
• We will make new friends.
• We will have a good time, chatting, discussing, finding answers to our questions and sometimes just relaxing.

Camp activities:

• We will welcome children from 8:00 to 9:00
• Day starts at 9:00
• Day ends at 17:00
• We will send out the children from 17:00 to 17:30

We will send a detailed agenda of the camp by email.
Camp activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
