Close and far away, just like a city, but just like a countryside, luxury right here, and across the street - shanty towns, so to speak, romantic, until you encounter a lack of basic amenities... - that's what Šnipiškės is. Not many European capitals have a "village" in the middle of the city, but Vilnius has just that - a distinctive district of wooden architecture right next to tall steel business towers. This is the part of Šnipiškės known as Skansen or Šiaudine. A little further on is Piromontas, which is smaller and brick. The history of Šnipiškės, the struggle of its inhabitants for their right to live as they used to, the surroundings and the sights can be both fascinating and outrageous, surprising, saddening and amusing. Whatever, there is no shortage of contrasts. It takes time to get to know Šnipiškės, and I invite you to take the time to get to know it now, because the same time changes everything quickly. Even in Šnipiškės.

Please don't be late and bring a copy of the ticket saved on your phone. The guides do not talk on the phone during the tour, so if you are late, access will be limited.

Children under 10 years old (travelling with adults) do not need a ticket, but please assess your children's ability to participate in the tour.

What if it rains? We'll still go,  just don't forget ☔ and appropriate clothing:)
