The INTERNATIONAL ŠIAULIŲ FORTEPIAN DUET FESTIVAL presents famous Lithuanian and foreign piano duos to the residents of the city and the region, organises the Young Piano Duets Competition and an educational programme. The festival has been held in Šiauliai since 1993. The Festival is organised by the Public Institution "Community Civic Action Projects" in cooperation with the Šiauliai Sauliaus Sondeckis Arts Gymnasium, the children's music schools of Radviliškis, Akmenė, Joniškis, Kuršėnai, Pakruojis, and Kelme.
The festival is under the patronage of the Mayor of Šiauliai Artūras Visockas.
The artistic director of the festival is Rimantas Vingras.
The project is financed by the Lithuanian Council for Culture, supported by the Municipality of Šiauliai and the Organum Piano Salon. The Festival's partner is the Povilas Višinskis Public Library of Šiauliai County.
