"I'm a folk artist," says Oleg, "and here are my wooden interior dolls." It seems to me that Oleg is a demiurge, a creator who creates the world out of primordial matter. These creatures, these characters, lived in some mysterious world of fairy tales. Only now, awakened by the carver, taking on material form and clothing, covered with leather, fur, fabric and lace, they have escaped from the hands of the master and will live their own life. I confess that every time I enter Oleg's warm, fragrant workshop, I feel as if I am entering a sanctuary, a womb, where I know that a new being is knitting itself again. Now I am no less excited, because this Sunday, fourteen of Oleg's puppets will be staying temporarily (until the end of February) at Antazavė Manor. The Birddog, the Order Bearer, the Woodcutter - I have already heard the names of some of them. Come and surprise yourself..."
