The play is based on the play "Pornografija" by British playwright Simon Stephens (translated into Lithuanian by Aivaras Mockus). It is a play that has never been staged in Lithuania before and is known for its fragmented narrative and intense, often emotionally charged scenes.
The play explores the lives of several characters, each dealing with their own personal struggles and challenges. Themes of alienation, humanity, fear, choices and the impact of big events on the lives of ordinary people are touched upon. All these stories and people are united by the upcoming 7/7 bombings in London - a series of coordinated terrorist attacks on the city's public transport system on 7 July 2005.
Can we create our own lives (and if so, why do we sometimes choose to shape them in destructive ways?), or are they already shaped and we can only make them come true? - This is the main question that the creative team used to develop the dramaturgy of the play.
"When people get older, their faces do not change. They just fall down a bit. But the form remains the same. And so do the voices. It amazes me that as soon as we pick up the phone, we recognise each other's voices." (excerpt from the play).
