In 1998, the community of Kudirka Naumiescis was stirred and brought together by a play of the same name based on Kazis Inčiura's play "Vincas Kudirka", which was performed by a large number of Naumiestis residents. It was a cultural event for the town. The two-part, three-hour play was performed in the cultural centres of Kudirka Naumiescis, Šakiai and Marijampolė.

The play was directed by Natalija Manikienė, with Marija Oržekauskaitė as make-up artist. Vygintas Kuras as Vincas Kudirka, Julija Sederevičienė as Valeria, Algimantas Damijonaitis as Petras Kriaučiūnas, etc.
