Austrian artist Lena Lapschina presents her latest project Hadrian, a four-part video and sound installation that tells the story of the protagonist Hadrian's search for a better life and delves into the inner twists and turns of human thought. The protagonist Hadrian leaves one day in search of a better life. He wants to break out of his routine, driven by longing and a desire to achieve something more. The journey begins in Austria and ends with his arrival in Croatia, but the narrative is not about the journey, but about Hadrian's thoughts on the road. He is not lacking in worldly possessions - he is trying to escape from a previous version of his life. As the audience witnesses his journey, they reflect on the changes taking place inside him - vague but intriguing, perhaps suggesting a past shrouded in mystery. By including the word "Adria" in the film's title, symbolizing the journey's final destination in Croatia, Lapschina creates a love letter to her beloved country.
