The Big Five, a band that performs at international jazz music and dance festivals, is coming to Švenčioneliai! This multi-ethnic Berlin-based band is sure to captivate you with their sophisticated stage presence, explosive energy and strong passion for authentic swing-era jazz, and will make you want to dance.

DANCERS
If you buy tickets for the concert, you will have the opportunity to take a free introductory Lindy Hop dance lesson beforehand, led by members of the Miško Port community: Berlin-based jazz dancer and dance teacher Giedrė Paplaitytė and active member of the jazz dance communities Andžej Miloš.

THE BIG FIVE
Inspired by the hot jazz sounds of 1930s/1940s Harlem, Kansas City, and Chicago, The Big Five have established themselves as Berlin's most authentic swing band. Combining a driving rhythm section, a fiery brass front line and dynamic song arrangements, this international band delves into the lesser-known repertoire of old-time swing with a strong focus on original compositions.

The Big Five, whose line-up ranges from a core quintet to a full septet, are veterans of Berlin's famous Lindy Hop and Balboa dance halls and really know how to "blow up" a quiet party!
