Are you a wine lover who wants to learn quickly about wine and have fun in the company of like-minded people?

This course is for you!

You will learn in just one and a half months. The lectures will take place once a week, on Tuesdays from 18:00 to 20:30.

Programme of studies

1. Introduction to wine: production, factors influencing style. The basics of tasting.
2. White wine, its variety and differences.
3. Red and rosé wine, their variety and differences.
4. Sparkling wine. Different production methods and countries of production.
5. Naturally sweet and fortified wines. Differences, production methods and countries.
6. Wine and food pairing, presentation of wine. Practical session.

Each lecture consists of theoretical material taught by an expert and a tasting of 4-6 wines reflecting the theory

Student requirements

The students at the school are open to all wine lovers with 20 years of experience as well as professionals in the industry.

No wine knowledge is required to study at the school. We start with the basics of wine tasting and systematically deepen the knowledge.

The study is conducted in Lithuanian only by contact.

Social responsibility

Socially responsible drinking is part of the curricula of all the training programmes organised by the Lithuanian School of Sommeliers. 
 
We use spittoons in all our lectures, and water is provided to students. We are also proud to be part of the international moderation organisation "Wine in Moderation"
