Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Art laureate Stanislovas Žvirgždas is known to the photographic art community as a master of subtle and thoughtful Lithuanian landscapes. The solo exhibition of Stanislav Žvirgždas at Vilnius Town Hall invites visitors to reminisce or rediscover the photographic images of nature that he has patiently observed and created throughout his life. "As a genre, landscape is unique in that it has neither a story nor a narrative, so the most important thing here is the impression, the emotion that the image itself evokes in the viewer. It is more of an intuitive feeling that makes you stop and admire the landscape that opens before your eyes," says S. Žvirgždas, a photographer, photography historian and translator.
