Event description
J.Statkevičius. Spring/Summer 2025 collection presentation
November 15. "I wouldn't do anything on my own, so I want to publicly say 'thank you'," says Lithuania's most famous theatre costume designer and costume designer, half-mouthedly, about the upcoming beauty pageant.
Over the years, he has been recognised by his name. Statkevičius has become a guarantee of prestige and quality with refined taste. He is the only Lithuanian designer to have his own stamp and prototype for Dviračio žinios. The labels of Statkevičius's atelier sold in Gariūnai are a sign of his desire to be compared to him. Hollywood stars and crowned personalities trust his taste and are willing to wear his clothes.
At the event, you will be able to buy his books, perfumes, candles and T-shirts.
J.Statkevičius is proud to host a celebration that is typical of the world's fashion capitals. From his internship at the Paris Fashion House, he wanted to bring a piece of Paris back to Lithuania. London, New York, Milan and Paris host fashion shows four times a year: in January and July, haute couture (French: haut haute, couture: sewing, the art of tailoring), collections of the most famous fashion houses, made by designers with good quality materials and a lot of handwork, and in October and March, prêt-à-porter, mass-produced clothes, which are less luxurious and much cheaper than haute couture. Unfortunately, the general population is excluded from these fashion festivals. In London, New York and Paris, the only people invited to the presentations are the clients who support the fashion designers, the shop owners who sell the collections on show, the world's celebrities and the global fashion media. There are no such luxury stores in Lithuania - Chanel, Versace, Christian Dior - so the doors are closed to our clothing stores.Fashion shows are an expensive pleasure, but unlike Paris, in Vilnius you can buy a ticket and that is a major difference. Ordinary French people can't even dream of such an opportunity.
