2-act opera for children
The mice's desire to stuff their bellies is finally fulfilled by a star falling from the sky. The classic story of the goldfish who makes three wishes come true is brought to land. Starving mice make their first wish to fill their bellies. Then the King of the Mice wishes to become a star of the stage so that he can bathe in the rays of fame and glory forever. A competition reminiscent of a musical TV show takes place and the Mouse King wins the popularity he craves. But the glitter of stardom fades when the Mouse King goes berserk and rejects not only his fellow mice but also his producer. Then he is instantly challenged by a new star, Lady Quack. The creative team of "Star Opera" aims not to divide the characters into positive and negative, not to moralise at the end of the performance, to trust the little spectators and let them think, understand and choose the character that is closest to them. For the first time in the history of the theatre, a special Mouse Jargon Glossary has been added to the children's opera app to help little ones correctly interpret some of the words used by the "starry" mice. "The Star Opera is the sequel to The Potato Tales (awarded the Golden Stage Cross) and The Macaroni Opera. The Star Opera thus crowns the first trilogy of Lithuanian operas for children. The performance is intended for the whole family.
