"Duettissimo" was born 10 years ago in Vienna. The name of the duo came with Vytautas Barkauskas' work dedicated to Dalia Dėdinskaite and Gleb Pyšniak. This work for violin and cello (Op.137) premiered at the Musikverein Concert Hall in Vienna in 2014 and was extremely well received by the audience, and the duo's concerts have been successful in other countries as well.
The programme of this concert will include works by M. Ravel, E. Schulhoff, and others.
Dalia DĖDINSKAITĖis one of the brightest violinists of the young generation of Lithuanian violinists, a prize-winner of republican and international competitions. Since 2017 she has been an assistant professor at the world's largest music university in Vienna, where she has been a member of the class of the renowned Austrian professor Christian Altenburger. In 2020-2022 she will be the first concertmaster of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra. In 2010 Dalia won the main prize at the international competition "Violine in Dresden" in Germany, after which she was invited to perform the Violin Concerto by L. van Beethoven at the prestigious festival "Dresdner Musikfestspiele 2012". GLEB PYŠNIAK made his debut at the age of 14 as a soloist with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Prof. Saulius Sondeckis) at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic.
