Danish writer Karina Mikael paints a loving and gently humorous portrait of her mother in her autobiographical novel Mother. The performance will bring to life several episodes from the novel, which show the colourful range of family feelings. Like the author of the novel, the creators of this performance talk about the complex, contradictory, unspoken and hidden feelings, but also about the immensely warm and compassionate relationship between the closest people - the mother and her children. Do mothers really know their children best? How do children live with the shadows of their parents' past? How can they love their loved ones without hurting them?
