Bonaventuras Šaltis is known in the art world as the author of portraits, soft landscapes, still lifes and abstractions. The artist pays a lot of attention to drawing, which is why his paintings are meticulous, fascinating in their poeticization of the beauty of nature, the connection between human life and the impression of the moment, and the aesthetics of the things around us. The author jokes that he is a painter of everything, he is interested in everything and has tried everything, like our current summers, which are elemental, with torrential rains and droughts. The painter admits that lately he has been more attracted to realistic abstraction, but he lets his "I" flow like a river - let it flow wherever it likes. The gallery "Laiptai" (Žemaitės str. 83, Šiauliai) will be open until 27 July.
