Event description
The Photography Club has been fulfilling its mission at the Museum of Photography since 2016.Throughout the school year, participants (12-18 year olds) learn how to operate modern professional photography equipment, work with studio equipment, try out various photographic processes (film developing, printing in a photo lab, cyanotype, pinhole and other techniques), and learn about the history of photography and the development of its technology. The classes, led by photographer Edvardas Tamošiūnas, are also held in the Museum of Photography's collections and exhibition, where participants can see and get acquainted with authentic photographic techniques and artistic values. As every year, the works created during the workshops are exhibited in the exhibition at the Museum of Photography. In the years 2023-2024, the photographic and cinematic experiments, the search for individuality and self-expression, the photographic and cinematic experiments, the search for individuality and self-expression of the participants of the Photography and Film Club - Danielius Aukščionis, Patricia Elizabeta Belyaeva, Gerda Gintalaitė, Adomas Juškevičius, Titas Leišis, Gerda Patkauskaitė, Ruslana Petraitytė, Emilija Štaraitė, and Orinta Zaicevite - mark the beginning of the journey towards professionalism. The Studio of the Museum of Photography (Vilniaus g. 140, Šiauliai) will be open until 25 August.
