Classical music performers - Mettis Quartet and saxophonist, In the opinion of Kęstutis Vaiginis, a jazz performer and composer, the essence of music cannot be squeezed into the frames of different genres - music, like life, is multifaceted. The performers have presented their programme in the most famous concert halls not only in Lithuania but also abroad, such as the Word Music Panama Festival (Panama), the Nine Gates Jazz Festival in Beijing, and the Changchun Jazz Festival (China). The programme will feature original compositions by Kęstutis Vaiginis, arranged for string quartet, as well as works for string quartet and saxophone arranged by the most famous jazz legends and greats, such as Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, and other leading composers and performers. The evening's intimate programme will also include the music of Astor Piazzolla, complemented by the colours of the Argentine tango and jazz improvisations. We will enjoy not only Chick Corea's "Spain" or the arrangement of the oriental melody "Misirlou" (from the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's film "Pulp Fiction"), whose version was created by the French string quartet Quatuor Ébène, but also ballads by John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter.
