Event description
A puppet play based on Lea Goldberg's poetic fairy tale
The story begins when Mouseketeer disappears from his apartment and the residents of an apartment block put up a notice - "Apartment for rent"... There are many interested parties, but it turns out that finding a tenant is not so easy. Even though the apartment looks attractive, the demanding beasts don't like the neighbours! And there are all kinds of them - a chicken, a cuckoo, a cat, a squirrel and a pig. This is a story about love (and sometimes lovelessness) not only for a creature like you, but also for a seemingly opposite creature... About the possibility of accepting each other's differences with friendly curiosity and tenderness. And about harmony and relief when peace comes.
Hungarian puppeteer and director Kata Csató graduated in puppetry from the Academy of Puppetry in Bialystok, Poland. She has worked successfully in various countries around the world, including Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Poland and Lithuania. She says: "In these times of such complex conflicts in the world, and, moreover, a terrible war in the neighbourhood, it is really worth rethinking what it means to live together? And how can we understand each other? This performance, like most of my work, is almost wordless. It is mostly visual, in a language that everyone can understand."
