Event description
Eva Vēvere (Latvia) is a visual artist working mainly in installation art. Her work is manifested in process-based events, performances, still and moving images, focusing on the architecture of time, which relates to both mundane reality and philosophical issues. Eva Vēvere participates in group exhibitions at the Latvian National Museum of Art, in the annual Survival Kit festival of the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, as well as in transnational collaborations with professionals in the fields of contemporary dance and music. Her works are in the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Latvian Memorial Museum Association and the Noass Video Art Archive. Židrija Janušaitė (Lithuania) works in the fields of painting, installation, land art, video and performance. Since 2007, she has been actively involved in the Lithuanian and international art scene, and is the organiser of various cultural events, including the Žagarė Fringe Festival and the Žagarė Art Residency. Židrija's artwork reflects tranquillity; her work opens up to an intense experience of meditative silence. Židrija's art is mostly meditative, calming and relaxing the mind. In this way, the artist creates the context for a special and always individual perception of the viewer. The exhibition will be open until 11 August at Meno parkas Gallery (27 Rotušės a., Kaunas).
