Domas Žeromskas is a young jazz pianist and composer, who spent the early years of his career on stage alongside some of Lithuania's leading jazz veterans. Before finishing high school, Domas was already an in-demand instrumentalist, renowned for his technical flexibility and sensitive, eclectic sound.
At the age of 18, the pianist released his debut album Infinite Itinerant, featuring original music written in his teens. After winning a full scholarship for his undergraduate studies, he studied at Berklee College of Music in the USA from 2019-2023. Alongside his studies and international tours with Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Gregory Tardy, Tom Scott, Naledi Masilo and Farayi Malek, he has also been focusing on his own trio with double bassist Ian Quinton Banno and drummer Héctor L. Falu Guzmán. Over the past year, the trio has already gained international recognition, touring Europe, the US and Canada, and becoming one of the most sought-after rhythm bands at the Berklee College of Music and a fixture in jazz professional circles.
In the spring of 2024, Domo's second album, Meditations on Providence and Perseverance, Vol. 1". Here, the trio was joined by a large international ensemble of artists including Gregory Groover Jr, Nadje Noordhuis, Gregory Tardy and Alexandria DeWalt. The album blends Post-Bop, Gospel and Caribbean influences with challenging yet melodic original compositions, creative reworkings of sacred music and songs by Lithuanian composers.
For this tour, the trio is joined by American saxophonist Michael Christopher Price from Memphis, Tennessee. The ensemble will present a programme recorded on the album, as well as unheard compositions by Domas Žeromskas.
