Kamanių šilelis is a duo that started in 2011. Their style is minimalistic, rhythmic, lightly psychedelic indie folk/art pop, which combines an internationally recognisable sound with deep roots in Lithuanian folk. Vocalist Kamilė Gudmonaitė's vocals often feature Lithuanian folk lyrics that are close to the Lithuanian audience's hearts, which take on a whole new shape in the duo's modern arrangements. This is most evident in the duo's debut album "Viskas teka" (2014) and second album "Namai" (2017). The album "9" (2020) and the last one "Look at the Sun" (2023) feature much more original lyrics, but the sound of the songs still touches on something deeply folk-like and follows the original Bumblebee Schiele pattern. Both in recording and live performance, the artists use instruments such as the dambrel, didjeridu, guitar, analogue synthesiser and rhythm machine. The diversity of the songs means that the ever-growing audience of Bumblebee Šilelis includes people with different musical tastes. Bumblebee Šilelis' latest album, "Look at the Sun", flows rhythmically like a time in which the listener leaves everyday life behind and immerses himself completely in sound. Following the release of this album, the duo was named Alternative Music Group of the Year at the Lithuanian M.A.M.A. Awards. The music and lyrics of the latest album were born in different places - from the Lithuanian countryside to the mountains and oceans of Mexico. The album is full of both lyrical and danceable songs, and the duo's live performances are full of energy, often surprising and drawing in the audience. After being named Band of the Month in October 2023 by Europavox Media, Bumblebee Šilelis recorded the song "I'll be waiting for you" from their latest album live with the GospelJonai Choir.
