Grand CHRISTMAS Premiere. Actors and singers LINA RASTOKAITE and JOKŪBAS BAREIKIS present a new festive musical programme with a comedy twist "MEN FROM MARS, WOMEN FROM VENERA", where together with a live band they will not only perform the most beautiful songs, but will also wittily explore the differences between men and women.
The well-known actors Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis in the new theatrical project "Men from Mars, Women from Venus" will look at the differences between men and women, their relationships and various, often even comical, situations. The duo, beloved by audiences, will present hilarious festive and theatrical concerts in December in twelve of Lithuania's biggest cities.
"Men from Mars, Women from Venus" is a live concert that combines elements of music and comedy. The show will feature dialogues, monologues and discussions between men and women representing the different planets Mars and Venus, as well as interactions with the audience through engaging situations, competitions and even interactive improvisations. The concert, which is being prepared with a special set and lighting design, will be full of laughter, sentiment and, of course, the most beautiful pieces of music.
L. Rastokaitė and J. Bareikis, who are contributing to the script, believe that the project will also reflect their own stories, relationships and situations.
"All the stories in the script come in one way or another from our personal experiences, from friends, acquaintances or relatives. They are born out of the different attitudes of men and women towards certain things, and these misunderstandings are often simply comical," says Bareikis. - The theatrical concert will feature a lot of music, dialogues, friendly discussions, and acting etudes. I think that I will defend, represent the male side, the male logic, and Lina will represent the female side."
L. Rastokaitė says that this project reflects the nature of masculinity and femininity.
"I believe that men and women reflect things that are innately coded by nature itself. I believe that evolution itself has arranged it in such a way that men and women are inherently different, and during the concert we will try to look at these differences, recognise them, laugh and enjoy them together with the audience," says the actress.
She adds that the witty but true phrase: "What is a successful marriage? It's not when two perfect people meet and enjoy life together. A successful marriage is when two completely different people meet and enjoy each other's differences."
It is about these differences and similarities, about adaptation, tolerance of each other, that the actors will talk about with humour and live music in the concert "Men from Mars, Women from Venus".
