Three-minute film "Someone steps into the light"

 

The talents of Japanese dancer and choreographer Tanaka Min and German director Wim Wenders come together in the short film "Someone enters the light". A dance performance of stunning beauty, it is a dialogue between the two creators, using light and shadows to sculpt a mature body, like the trunk of a centuries-old tree, proudly bearing the imprint of time. Tanaka Min, who studied classical ballet and modern dance, has become known for his experimental solo performances, often choosing to use the naked body as a stage costume. Tanaka Min had a small role in Wim Wenders' Oscar-nominated film Great Days, which includes a few seconds of this dreamlike dance performance.
