Lars Norén's play November 20 is based on the real-life incident of November 20, 2006, when an 18-year-old boy brought a gun to a school in the small German town of Emsdetten. The boy did not stand out from the general school environment and grew up in an ordinary family, which is why the crime shocked many people and turned everyone's gaze to the ordinary school in a quiet and unknown town.

The play explores the reasons why people transgress the normal boundaries of society. The play offers the opportunity to explore the themes of violence, bullying and voluntary departure from life in a safe theatrical environment. It also raises questions and reflects on the environment we create at school and the roles we play. The performance is followed by a discussion facilitated by a professional psychologist.
