Unique in its cultural diversity and artistic solutions, Silent Theatre, with the support of Alive Creative Community, presents the musical performance Anas (based on the novel Tūla by J. Kunčinas).
The original play by Rolandas Rapalas reflects Kunčinas' Tūla and the director's own creative discoveries. The story revolves around a young wastrel living in the most creative district of Vilnius' Užupis district at the height of the 80s. It is known to be one of the most attractive places for the unconventional, creative and daring audience, and our hero is just the right one.
Anas, as he calls himself, lives his life wandering between drunken celebrations, having fun only with cheap drinks and one-night stands. But things begin to change radically after a chance encounter with a girl whose unusual name will become imprinted on the heart of the protagonist, where not only feelings but also masterpieces of art will be born.
This is a play about love and the pain it often brings, about dreams and the obstacles our heroes will try to overcome, but above all, it's a play about growing up, developing and striving to become better than the other person looking back at us in the mirror.
