ARIEL RAMIREZ and INTERNATIONAL TANGO QUINTET

Astor Piazzolla - masterpieces of the world classics of the Argentine tango.
Internationally acclaimed bandoneon virtuoso Ariel Ramirez (Argentina) - arranger, choreographer, dancer, member of the jury of the Tango World Championships, director of the tango orchestra - will be playing a programme with the international quintet. The concert will be complemented by performances by tango dancers.
This is an exceptional group of professional, internationally renowned, talented performers with virtuosity and stylistic diversity. The combination of the bandoneon, the symbol of tango music, and other tango instruments gives the music a unique and authentic sound.
The Tango Quintet presents works by the great maestro Astor Piazzolla - masterpieces of classical music, jazz energy and subtlety, and the passion of Argentine tango. The programme will include world tango classics such as Oblivion, Adios Nonino, Regreso Al Amor, Cite Tango, Vuelvo al Sur and others, taking you back to the world of Buenos Aires in the 1940s - the golden age of authentic tango.
