Event description
A musical play for children based on a short story by Carlo Collodi
Master Japhet receives an unusual gift for his birthday - a large wooden pestle. After some thought, he decides to carve a wooden doll, which he hopes will teach him to talk and walk. But the puppet comes to life sooner than the craftsman expected... He names the doll Pinocchio.
The little boy promises to be a good boy, to go to school and not to play any wicked pranks. But as soon as he leaves Japhet's house, Pinocchio is thrown into a whirlwind of strange adventures, encounters the useless and fraudulent Katin and Lape, and gets stuck in a puppet theatre, where he meets puppets just like him. They are abused and exploited by the puppet theatre's director, Longbeard. Pinocchio vows to free them secretly. This determination leads Pinocchio to new adventures...
The play features a large cast of young actors. The audience will be entertained by unseen and unheard characters, their fun dances and original music created for the play.
