The main characters of the play are neighbours in the same staircase: "schoolgirl" Elė, "Miss Popular" Deima and computer game addict Rey, who are angry with their families, rebel and decide to establish their own independent "2nd Staircase Republic" in the stairwell, and only the audience's choices will determine how this "country" will continue to live. The audience will not only choose their own president, experience the creation, rise and fall of a country, and the search for the right way to live, but will also be confronted with the current issues of adolescence: rebellion, bullying, the importance of popularity, the dependence on technology and social networks, the perception of oneself as a person, the importance of being part of a community.
During the performance, the audience will experience the changes in political regimes, search for solutions to problems and be encouraged to express their opinions. An active simulation of the state will engage the audience to participate, to create new rules of life in this state and to question the long-established ones.
