The festive programme of the 10th edition of Midsummer Vilnius will be opened by the world-famous British star, Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine.
On 14 July in the Grand Court of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, he will present his fourth and final album Sir Introvert and the Featherweights, which marks an important change in his career: a turn towards cinema. Benjamin Clementine is subtly saying goodbye to music, making way for a new creative journey - at least for a while.
That's why this will be a very special encounter for the artist and his fans at Midsummer Vilnius. The evening will undoubtedly include some of the artist's most famous and beloved songs.
The atmosphere of the British singer's performances is akin to a ritual - it is engaging, exciting, even hypnotic. Masterfully playing with his velvety voice and emotions, the artist creates unique performances combining music, poetry and theatre.
Benjamin Clementine's debut album, At Least for Now (2015), won the Mercury Prize and was widely acclaimed for its unique blend of avant-garde pop, soul and classical music.
Indeed, his own life is full of unexpected twists and challenges, like a movie. He started his career in Paris, playing on the streets and in small cafés.
