After a 4-year break, the Lithuanian men's national handball team has successfully started the qualification tournament for the 2026 European Championships, aiming to return among the strongest European teams. After defeating North Macedonia, a regular participant of the European Championships, the Lithuanian handball team took a strong step towards the final round. Another tough battle awaits the Lithuanian handball team against the Estonian national team. In case of success against the Estonians, the Lithuanian handball team would already have one foot in the European Championship.
