The Kaunas Big Band embarks on a magical jazz journey with Karl Frierson (USA/Germany). A phenomenal vocalist, master of jazz improvisation, songwriter, and an experienced teacher, he is characterised by his exceptional personal charisma and emotional communication on stage. His rich, deep, moving, virtuosic voice is captivating and engaging.

Karl Frierson was born in America in 1968. He came to Germany briefly as a member of a gospel choir. A fortuitous coincidence brought the future jazz star together with the members of De-Phazz, and the friendship that developed led him to stay permanently in Europe. Karl started performing in clubs, recording solo songs and never expected to achieve worldwide fame. Karl Frierson and the band's meteoric rise to success began when they signed a contract with the international music company Universal Music. With hundreds of festivals and concerts around the world, Karl Frierson's musical career is constantly expanding. As a true jazz nomad, he travels to different venues, meeting some of the most talented collaborators on the scene and creating unforgettable fireworks of jazz rhythms, funk, soul and blues. The 13-15 February performances of Karl Frierson with the Kaunas Big Band in Vilnius, Kaunas and Western Lithuania are no exception.
