Hear different people talk about the loneliness and joy they experience in different groups of people: on the bus, on the beach, at a concert, at the cinema, in a lift, on the street, in a club, in a queue. How do we exist in a crowd? Do we want to stand out or dissolve? Do we go to the centre or do we stay away? What do we experience when we are just a small part of a big group? Who are we as an individual outside the group? How does being in a crowd change our behaviour? Paradoxically, there are more than 8 billion people in the world, yet a large proportion of them feel lonely. "The Crowd is an audiovisual experience in theatre that invites us to explore ourselves among others and to experience the feelings that arise from this - joy or loneliness, or perhaps insecurity, curiosity, trust or communion.
