Silent Retreat with Bibliodrama and Sacred Dance
August 11-14, 2025
Card. V. Sladkevičius' homeland (Guronys, Kaišiadorys district)
In this Jubilee Year we are invited to a pilgrimage. As we journey through the texts of the Holy Scriptures, we will delve into God's thought, what He created me for, what His thought for me is. After all, we are created out of Love - and therefore endowed with the greatest riches. Do I recognize this. Where is my treasure? What do I do with it? In the retreat we stop and take time to understand, to hear what God is saying to me, what He wants for me, to reconcile and to accept His Love.
Bibodrama is a lively encounter with the text of Scripture, through which we recognize ourselves and our life in the people and circumstances of the Scriptures. Through creative methods, gestures, and conversations, we embody a role in the biblical scene and listen to God's Word with our ears, our hearts, our minds, our hands... The biblical text becomes a "burning bush" from which God speaks.
Sacred Dancing is a form of expression of relationship with God that helps to restore the unity of the soul and the body, creates balance and inner peace, and deepens the relationship with God. And it is simply good to be, to communicate and to pray together.
Each day there will be a morning prayer with movement and sacred dances in the nature, a bibliodrama (we speak during the sessions) until lunch, from lunch onwards there will be a time of silence and personal prayer-meditation, a personal spiritual conversation or a spiritual conversation in a group, and a celebration of the Eucharist.
Aug. Start at 10am - end around 2pm.Participation fee: registration fee of 70 euros paid by 20 June 220 euros, afterwards 240 euros (accommodation and meals included). Please bring the remaining amount in cash. The registration fee is non-refundable in case of no-show.
The retreat will be led by the director of the Bibliodrama, Vilhelmina Raubaitė-Mikelionienė, and Fr. Stasys Kazėnas SJ.
The retreat will take place if 12 or more participants are present.
