September 17 writer, poet, director, songwriter, bard, traveler Vytautas V. Landsbergis returns to the Yellow Sofa Club. This is Vytautas' sixth appearance at the Yellow Sofa Club. During the evening, Vytautas together with his son Jonas will present a new program of songs and verses from his book "Dienanaktis". This is the eighth, recently published book of the writer's poems, in which among the historical and mythological collages arranged like fragments of a script or surrealist incantations, there are also simple sighs about today's time of transformation and war, becoming "from the new to the old, from the old back."
The book "Dienanaktis" was published 3 years after the death of the author's mother, Gražina Ručytė-Landsbergienė. "I had already decided not to write poetry anymore, I didn't write any more, but there was a strange need to talk to my mother. In rows. To reflect on how we were here, how we lived, how we are. About the war that started. The book intertwines ballads, myths, and legends," says Vytautas. (- quote from Vytautas V. Landsbergis Facebook account)
