The International Accordion Festival in Vilnius is a space to present bright, rising Lithuanian and world accordion names to a wide audience, providing a starting point to international heights and the hearts of listeners.
This year, the artistic director of the festival invites you to meet two rising stars of Lithuania, the brightest accordionists of the young generation, whose concert will leave you with indelible impressions.
You will easily remember the names of these two artists after getting to know them intimately through their sensitive and professional broadcast of emotion and evocative musical language.
Both performers are laureates of many international competitions, winning first or Grand Prix places every time and solidly representing Lithuania in the world. Performers often play in ensembles of various composition, solo and with chamber ensembles.
Every year he participates in domestic and international festivals, concerts and master classes with the most famous domestic and foreign teachers.
Mantas and Jonas have been under the care of M. Rostropovičius Charity and Support Fund for several years now.
"Young Artist", "Young Artist", "Honour of Lithuania", "Metų Vaikas" scholarships, official letters of thanks from the presidents of the Republic of Lithuania or television projects "Lithuanian Talents. Supervaikai", "Lietuvos Maximalistai" are only a small part of the evaluations in which young accordionists were noticed, evaluated and encouraged to develop their musical activities.
Mantas Leonardo Lizzi - born in Italy, lived and studied for most of his childhood in Palanga, and is currently continuing his studies at the J. Gruodis Conservatory in Kaunas in the class of accordion teacher and performer Laimonas Salijaus. Mantas accompanied the Klaipėda City Choir and soloists, played with the Vilnius String Quartet, Klaipėda Wind Quintet, Vilnius Accordion Orchestra "Consona", St. Christopher's chamber orchestra, he often takes the conductor's baton himself.
Jonas Vozbutas - who started his musical career in Mažeikiai, continues his studies at the S. Sondeckis Gymnasium in Šiauliai in the class of the famous teacher Marytė Markevičienė and constantly deepens his professional knowledge with the world's most famous professors and performers. On stage, the native of Mažeiki played as a soloist with the Lithuanian National Symphony, the Lithuanian Army, "Kremerata Baltica", Lithuanian, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Vilnius St. Kristoforos, "Mikroorkestra" chamber orchestras. Responsibly and carefully delving into the secrets of music, he successfully finds himself in composition as well.
