LYRICS EVENING - POST FLUX GAMES:
TARASOV IS SWIMMING
LANDSBERG IS WAITING FOR HIM
A unique project is hidden under this flux name - an evening of music and lyrics, during which prof. Vytautas Landsbergis will read his poetry, and percussionist Vladimir Tarasov will fill it with enchanting percussion sounds. The evening will take place in 2024. February 3 6 p.m. "Legends Club" in Vilnius.
Vladimir Tarasov says that “these are the internal games of artists, when creators have the opportunity to play with sound, text and image for their own pleasure. Without trying to please viewers, listeners and avoiding templates and standards. And the spectators become not only witnesses of this event, but also, of course, its participants."
And Prof. V. Landsbergis adds - "Music always saves. In the hour of fatigue also. It's pretty much the best form of recreation. An opportunity to move yourself to a more perfect world, a world of beauty, and to move away from tiring things. Music is not tiring, music is liberating. As the music teacher Ignas Prielgauskas said: "Be charming when you invent something." A person should be encouraged to be that inventor, or - as our classics used to say - "crafty". A handyman is a living person.
Music means a lot to me. In the most general sense, it is a gateway to the world, to its understanding, to human understanding. To self-understanding... This is an opportunity to discover a lot: what you didn't know yet, what you hadn't touched yet. Also, of course, it's an area where I've worked a lot in various other ways, where there are various things done and unfinished, but they're not the most important to me. Sometimes I thought about music - as a model of the world, about the expression of its essence in the cleanest, most beautiful way. This is not a new idea. People smarter than me have talked about this since ancient times.
There was an old music teacher
music cannot be taught
teach nothing
you have to learn it yourself
need
feel what is needed
