After a year's hiatus, the play "Happiness is a Fox" returns to the stage, based on the award-winning children's book that has won numerous awards in Lithuania and abroad. The play tells the story of friendship and the values of life - generosity, the sadness of loss, the joy of discovery. All this is shown against the background of live music and frantic, adventurous and interactive action.
This play about happiness, which has been very popular, will once again be a delight for young theatre lovers. They will be able to meet Lape and Povilas and get acquainted with the sensitive story, while reading the book on which the play is based, they will be able to compare the characters with the ones embodied by the actors.
The book on which the play is based is well-known to Lithuanian and foreign readers. The story about the friendship between a fox and a boy, written by writer Evelina Daciute and artist Aušra Kiudulaitė, has attracted worldwide interest and has been highly acclaimed at children's book exhibitions in Italy, Japan, South Korea, China and America, and has been read all over the world. After all, it is not every day that we have the opportunity to party, fool around and dream with them. The children become active participants in this play, doing exercise with us, looking for Margarita and the answer to what happiness is", says actress Daiva Rudytė.
