Programme: songs and jazz standards by Nat King Cole with orchestra

 

This programme by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra is a tribute to the legendary voice of the swing era Nat King Cole. It consists of the most memorable pieces from his repertoire and lesser-known songs that have remained in the memory of the wonderful concert soloist Luisa Zan since she was a teenager.

A collection of jazz standards, masterfully orchestrated by Mariano Castro, reminds the audience of the splendour of the golden era of swing, a time when people understood and appreciated the aesthetics of the main currents of jazz in all its colours.
