Classical music concert "Winter with Richard Strauss". The concert features soloist Joana Gedmintaitė (soprano), pianist Prof. Raminta Lampsatytė.
Prof. Raminta Lampsatytė is a pianist of Lithuanian descent, a scholar, and a lecturer at the Hamburg School of Music and Theatre. She was born in Chicago to a family of Lithuanian expatriates and first came to Lithuania in 1972. Now she lives in Germany and is often seen in Lithuania.
Joana Gedmintaitė graduated in vocal studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (class of Prof. Irena Milkevičiūtė). She holds a Master's degree in Music and is a soloist at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. Gedmintaitė has won numerous competitions, frequently performs with the Lithuanian State Orchestra and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, and plays soprano parts in many oratorios, masses and cantatas. She gives concerts in Lithuania and abroad.
