One of the world's most renowned storytellers, Hans Christian Andersen, created more than 170 magical fairy tales and stories that are well-known to everyone. The Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will tell one of these wonderful stories about a princess who could not sleep on a pea to its little listeners with the help of musical sounds.
The prince's dreams of a real princess, her appearance during a storm, the softest bed of goose down, the prince's hot love and even a tiny pea - everything in this fairy tale is filled with poetry and subtle irony. This is what makes H.K. Andersen's work so special: poetry and irony, noble sentiments and delicious laughter, and a fairy tale that is fun for young and old alike.
The tale of the Prince and Princess's test of love with a tiny pea will be narrated by the actor Paulius Markevičius, and the cheerful story will be complemented by the familiar musical interludes played by the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the charismatic conductor Vilmantas Kaliūnas.
