Four seasons, four cellos, four radically different dancers.
The dance and live music performance "Seasons" is the first joint work of the Sheiko Dance Theatre and the Klaipėda Cello Quartet, led by Mindaugas Bačkaus. The cellists' live performance of one of the world's most popular works - Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons - takes on a new, deconstructed form on stage. The different seasons and elements are embodied here by performers who are unique in their own fields, with very different expressions and plasticity: the aristocratic ballerina Beata Molytė, the theatrical shaman Benas Šarka, the mime actor Aleksas Mažonas, and one of the strongest contemporary dance dancers of his generation Marius Pinigis. Choreographer Agnija Šeiko has managed to masterfully manage the collaboration of these personalities on stage, giving them enough freedom of expression. This creates an unexpected harmony between the dance and music of the different performers on stage.
