Sutkus's photographs are a timeless gift, revealing and preserving the world of the past and capturing the essence of a bygone epoch. Sometimes in these photographs one can almost smell the air, feel its warmth. Captured with a sensitive, stylish gaze and immense talent, the world revolves around a central theme - the artist's dear Lithuania: here his people, his landscape and his life unfold. The exhibition, organised on the occasion of Sutkus's 85th birthday, presents one photograph for each summer of his life, and is enriched by a few of his own favourite photographs. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with the same title. Most of the works on show were printed at the time of their creation, in many cases at the very beginning of their independent journey. Most of them have never been exhibited in Lithuania before. Here's to many inspiring summers! The exhibition will be on show at Vilnius City Hall (Didžioji str. 31, Vilnius) until 27 July.
