Melomaniacs in the capital have been waiting for this event for years.
The Polish artist, born in Gdańsk , studied piano in Warsaw at the prestigious Frederic Chopin University of Music, and continued her piano studies in Berlin.
The composer and singer creates performances of rare beauty in contemporary classical music, using ambient music effects, the pulsation of electronic music, or, as she puts it: mixing Chopin with Dave Brubeck and Moderat.
The post-classical artist is inspired by composers such as Max Richter, Esbjorn Svensson, Miles Davis, Nils Frahm, Murcof, bands such as the Portico Quartet, Radiohead, and even The Beatles.
Hania Rani's compositions are deep and colourful, like Mozart's chromatic cascades, and the performances are sensitive and musically temperamental. Her performances have already been picked up by well-known radio stations such as NPR and KEXP, and the geography of her concerts is expanding every year. The composer's music has already won numerous international awards, and her latest album, Ghost (2023), has been hailed as one of the best contemporary classical albums of the year.
