Event description
Jazz Cellar 11 brings the flavour and colours of Parisian jazz to the stage.
Vita Levina is a Lithuanian-born, French-based jazz vocalist. Little known in Lithuania, but well-known in Parisian club scenes, Vita performs her own music, which blends different musical influences.
The soft acoustic sound of the musicians' works is given by the instruments chosen: acoustic guitar, double bass and her rich and velvety vocals, while the charismatic musicians of different nationalities add freshness and colour to the band.
During the concert we will hear music from the newest album It's Been A Long Time. This album is a collection of songs written by Vita Levina over the last 15 years living in France.
"Often the songs manifest themselves as a vision for me: I see the scene, I feel the atmosphere and I try to convey it through a combination of words and music."
"It's been a long time" - it's been a long time since Vita left her native Lithuania, and it's been a long time since she's wanted to write and release this album.
