KITAS KAMPAS, the only professional improvisation theatre in Lithuania, presents a hilarious premiere of the most risky, challenging and predictable genre of improvisation - the "long form" improvisation show LOOKING FOR A MAN.
LOOKING FOR A MAN is an improvisational performance based on the once-popular TV reality show The Search Service, in which a team of creators helps the show's participants to find a missing person or a distant, long-seen relative. The improvised reality show LOOKING FOR PEOPLE features the actors' wives or husbands, sons-in-law and aunts, in-laws and cousins, illegitimate children and lovers, acquaintances and friends of the person being searched. Their identities, traits and major life events are all created in collaboration with the audience.
Unlikely, absurd, crazy, sensitive, hilarious and nostalgic stories of acquaintance, life-changing events, love dramas and intrigues are all accompanied by the central question - will the person you are looking for be found? Is it possible to create, rebuild or preserve a bond between the people closest and dearest to you?
The "long form" improvisation show is the most skill-intensive improvisational genre, where actors, without a rehearsal or a script, create and perform a single story, following a single storyline. The creators of KITAS KAMPAS theatre have been experimenting and presenting variations of this format to the audience for 15 years of its existence, and in May 2015 they staged their first "long-form" improvisational performance THE DOOR, which attracted a great deal of interest from the audience due to its unpredictability and the improvisers' ingenuity.
