Lithuanian percussion landscape is unimaginable without Arkady Gotesman - one of the most creative representatives of the music scene.

Arkady is interested in shadows, theatre buildings, where hints of different scenarios are visible, new percussive sounds that one cannot hear but feel. Gotesman's music is full of voices, new combinations of instruments, magic and poetry. He performs solo, specifically virtuosic and theatrical parts of his own works, and collaborates with musicians of different orientations. The compositions are quite marked by a polyphony of collectivity and improvisation, with many unusual spells, hand movements, humour, eccentricity and the primordiality of African drum music.

In his recent inspiration for solo performance, Arkady resembles a master of the language of a vastly expanded drum kit, the quintessential percussion colourist, for whom a layer of sound - each ghostly overtone - from each note is an inner echo of the human voice, a real and surreal vision of hyper-reality.
