About the music:

Piano Phase Project is a collaboration between pianists Monika Lozinskiene and Anna Szałucka (Poland-UK). Formed in 2019, the international duo aims to present piano music in an innovative way, conceptually combining classical works with other art forms. The artists presented their first creative works, the musical installations Summertime and Piano Phase, at the MO Museum in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

In 2022, the pianists became artists of the City Music Foundation, a musicians' agency in London. The dynamic duo has performed at St. The duo has also performed at St. Martin In The Fields, St. They have performed at Barts Heritage, Wiltshire Music Centre, Sienko Gallery and the Bloomsbury Festival in the UK. The pianists have also performed at the CLASSICAL:NEXT Classical Music Conference in Hannover, the Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius, Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022 and will tour Scotland in 2025 as winners of The Tunnel Trust Prize.

The innovative duo creates original piano arrangements, writes new music, and collaborates regularly with filmmakers, artists, jazz musicians and electronic music makers. The pianists' latest project, Sound Meditation, combines their debut album, the premiere of an art film set in the forests of Western Canada, and the creation of the film's soundtrack. The new album features works by C. Debussy, M. Ravel and M. K. Čiurlionis.

The pianists' performances are always full of good mood, open communication with the audience and colourful musical interpretations.

About the Feast:

This concert will be unique. We will not only enjoy the music, but also a French feast. The gourmet events "Lunch on the Grass" and "Picnic at the Cinema", already familiar to Kaunas residents and visitors, will be on the rooftop and will enrich the concert with their flavours and aromas! Music and feasting near the clouds! May this picnic be filled with heavenly music, happy people, old friends, and enjoying moments that we will create ourselves.

As usual at our picnics, we invite you to bring a glass of your favourite wine to the concert in the interests of sustainability and cosiness. There will be chairs in the event space, but a favourite plaid or other elegant detail can make an impromptu picnic even more cosy.
